Fyi, me haven't watched or read any single of Tolkien's work. I know LOTR was popular at that time, but I didn't interested at all. So, last Friday, I tried to watch prequel of LOTR which is The Hobbit. Who knows I will be interested in Tolkien's work after that.

In the opening, Old Bilbo narrates the story of Erebor, land of peaceful dwarves with Thrain as a King. The land was in peaceful until Dragon Smaug destroyed Erebor. Until this story finished, I was so amazed with how imaginery Erebor and dwarves are.

Then Old Bilbo and Frodo appeared in their holes at Bag End. How cute was Hobbit's hole. I like how the story turns from Old Bilbo into Young Bilbo by a smoke.

At first, I thought Gandalf The Grey looks alike Dumbledore. Hoohoo. Ok, Ian McKellen of Gandalf is far far different from Michael Gambon of Dumbledore. Switch to next topic. Martin Freeman is the right person of Bilbo Baggins. Yeah, everyone says the same thing of him.

My first favourite scene is of course when the dwarves are coming to Bilbo's house. They really are making a mess in Bilbo's house. Fili & Kili are somehow 'model' look alike. They're quite handsome in their races. But afterthat, the dwarves are cleaning all up into the first position. Moreover, when dwarves are singing along a song, that's really beautiful. I like that song. It's really like a choir. The title is Misty Mountains Cloud. After this, the journey is begin.
